Lauren H. Kerstein, Author
From a very young age, Lauren's passions have included reading and writing! She writes fiction, and books in her field. She is a member of SCBWI and enjoys crafting picture books, middle grade and young adult novels. Lauren always has a work in progress, an idea brewing, courage for tough revisions, and a host of characters milling about waiting for their stories to be told.
Lauren is the author of a children's picture book entitled, A Week of Switching, Shifting and Stretching my Thoughts: How to Make my Thinking More Flexible so I Can Have Fun. She is also the author of My Sensory Book: Working Together to Explore Sensory Issues and the Big Feelings They Can Cause: A Workbook for Parents, Professionals, and Children. Lauren authored a textbook about Autism Spectrum Disorders which is available as an on-line course through Western Schools Publishing.
In addition to a passion for reading and writing, Lauren continues to enjoy her career as a mental health clinician. She is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Lauren is a nationally recognized speaker.
Lauren loves stretching her creative brain with Storystorm, ReFoReMo, 12x12, ReviMo, NaPiBoWriWee, Kidlit College classes, Writer's Digest webinars and conferences.
Lauren lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, two daughters (who are beautiful inside and out) and her crazy, yet loveable dog Hudson. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, exercising, taking her dog for walks, and snuggling with her girls. She is represented by Deborah Warren with East/West Literary Agency, Inc..
